18 July 2023 at 03:43 Mountaineer Kristin Harila climbs new mountain peak Kristin Harlia continues her quest to climb the world’s 14 highest mountains in less than six months and six days. On Tuesday, she climbed her twelfth peak. On Tuesday around 5 a.m. local time, Harila climbed Gasherbrum I (also called Hidden Peak) in Pakistan, her team writes in a press release. Gasherbrum I is the world’s eleventh highest mountain, and is 8,080 meters above sea level. Harila from Vadsø is already the fastest ever to climb the world’s 14 highest mountains, after the Guinness Book of Records rejected Nimsdai Purja’s world record of six months and six days. (NTB)
