Motion of no confidence against the city council leader in Bergen – news Vestland

5 October 2022 at 14:30 Motion of no confidence against the leader of the city council in Bergen The People’s Party (FNB) puts forward a motion of no confidence against the leader of the city council Roger Valhammer (Ap) in the child welfare cases in Bergen. – He has been responsible for the city council and there has been a large turnover in the social council seat. Such a large turnover is not good for the continuity of the management of child protection, says group leader Cesilie Tveit to news. She adds that they particularly react to the fact that the social council position was merged with another city council position, when the city council was re-composed when KrF withdrew in August. The party has held meetings on both Tuesday and Wednesday, and Tveit says it is a collective group behind the motion of no confidence. The party has 8 representatives in the city council in Bergen and is therefore the second largest opposition party, behind Høgre which has 14 representatives. SV has previously tabled a no-confidence motion against social councilor Katrine Nødtvedt (MDG).
