The mother received four years in prison. The district court believes that both the mother and the stepfather cynically exploited the relationship of trust with the daughter. According to the mother’s explanation, the stepfather must have taken the initiative for new abuses as soon as they moved in together. It was the principal of the girl’s school who submitted a report of concern in the case. The police launched an investigation, ransacked the couple’s home and after some time the two were arrested. The stepfather has always denied criminal guilt. In court, he explained one of the assaults by the fact that he unconsciously moved his hand while he was sleeping. The mother acknowledged part of the circumstances in court. She has clearly distanced herself from her actions. She also explained that she feared her stepfather’s reactions if she did not obey his wishes and desires. The court determined that it was the stepfather who was the leading person during the abuse. It was the mother who finally asked for an end to taking sexualized pictures of her daughter. Large amounts of abuse material found In addition to the abuse material they themselves produced, the stepfather was convicted of having downloaded more than 17,000 abuse images. These were sorted into folders on the computer and an external hard drive. In court, he explained that these were downloaded by accident, and that as a result of a shaky hand he had come across abusive material while downloading other, legal material. The court completely ruled out the man’s explanation. He was also sentenced to pay his stepdaughter NOK 300,000 in restitution. The stepfather’s lawyer Arne Seland has not yet responded to news’s ​​inquiries. The mother’s defense attorney Waqar Aslam Malik has no comment on the verdict. – What I can say is that she must decide whether to appeal before the deadline expires.
