Mother and daughter hit by a rock at Stølsnostinden – news Vestland

Just before 3 p.m., the police received a report from a family that a rock had fallen and hit the mother and daughter. The incident must have happened at an altitude of around 1,700 metres. It is about two grown women. Both must be conscious, but beyond that the extent of the damage is unknown. The stone must have mainly hit the two of them in the legs. No one is stuck. The main rescue center confirms that both the rescue helicopter and the air ambulance have been sent to the city. The police are organizing the rescue operation. – Rescue helicopter and air ambulance are on the scene. Now they are going to hoist them up, because there is no possibility of landing there, says operations manager in the western police district Steinar Hausvik. The police state that the position of the injured is known, and that the weather is fine in the area. – As I understand it at the main rescue centre, they will now be lifted up by rescue helicopter. They are then flown to another location where the air ambulance takes over further transport from there, says Hausvik.
