Figures from Statistics Norway show that most separations are taken out in the autumn – especially in October. But Svein Nordbøe and Jorunn Berg Nordbøe have been together for 40 autumns, and still counting. And not least – they are happy as the day is long. What is the secret? They have found support in each other through difficult times, and emphasize the importance of looking out for each other when things are difficult. But the married couple have the most good days together. – We are very similar. Likes the same and wants the same. The most important thing is that you have a harmonious life, she says. – And good food!, Svein chimes in. – Keep the conversation going Friends Erling Arne Høie and Eivind Andersen have been married for over 50 years each. The latter has been married to his wife for 53 years. – It’s about cooperation and respect. 53 years of nothing but joy is not bad!, says Andersen. He believes that the key to a long and beautiful marriage is not necessarily that difficult. – Keep the conversation going and be positive. And have respect for each other, not least. Renate is not a big fan of me drinking Red Bull, but then she had bought it for me when I got home last night – then she sat me in front of her!
