A spokesperson for Armenia’s prime minister told Reuters. Thus, more than half of the 120,000 in the region have left the area within a few days. Armenia is now trying to find shelter and food for the thousands of ethnic Armenians. After a lightning offensive last week, Azerbaijan took back control of the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenian separatists. The region is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan, but has been ruled by Armenian separatists for over 30 years.
