On Thursday 18 August, a twelve-year-old girl disappeared from Tjensvoll school in Stavanger. The family reports on Facebook at eight o’clock on Wednesday that the girl has been found and is safe. The police operations center states that they are working to confirm that the girl has recovered. Operations manager Dag Steinkopf tells news at half past eight that the police will not comment on the case any more until Thursday. Got more tips The police quickly asked for tips from the public to find her when she disappeared. Several tips came in, including from Bryne the same afternoon. Thursday evening at 8.30pm was the last safe observation of the girl – at Oslo Central Station. Here, the police have obtained an image from a surveillance camera. Since then, the police have received several tips from people who believe they have seen the girl, most recently on Wednesday in the Stavanger area. The police found nothing at the site. The girl’s mobile phone has not been helpful in finding her, because it was left at home. Fride Wirak says the case had a high priority with the police.
