Membership growth in the Labor Party – Trond Giskes Nidaros gets much of the credit – news Trøndelag

10 out of 14 counties saw growth in the number of members in 2022. That is what the Labor Party writes in a press release. The counties with the largest increase are Trøndelag, Finnmark and Nordland. Stands out Trøndelag in particular stands out positively. Nidaro’s Social Democratic Forum, which is led by Trond Giske, had 321 paying members in 2021. The figures for 2022 are 2968, Giske tells news. This means that Trøndelag would have experienced a decline in the number of members without the growth of Nidaros. – There is no doubt that there is one county and one local team in particular that has received a lot of attention regarding membership numbers in the past year, and I think it is incredibly nice that Nidaros and Trøndelag have gained so many new members to the party. That’s what party secretary Kjersti Stenseng says. – It is our members who drive forward policy development. In order for us to hit big and small, we are completely dependent on being present all over the country. Party secretary in the Labor Party, Kjersti Stenseng. And there is little doubt that much of the thanks can be directed to Giske and Nidaro’s social democratic forum. – Trond Giske and Nidaros have done a great job to get new members to the Labor Party, and I am happy about that. But I am concerned that we should have growth throughout the country.
