The weather was agreeable, it was a public holiday, and plenty of activities were lined up; naturally, the public showed up in large numbers for the first day of the Jeanne d’Arc and Medieval Festivals in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) on Thursday, May 19, 2025. And it will continue until Saturday.

Chevaliers, Musicians, Dancers…

For two more days, you can spot  knights ,  animals ,  troubadours ,  blacksmiths ,  musicians , and  dancers  throughout various locations: rue Jeanne d’Arc, esplanade Marcel-Duchamp, outside the cathedral, place du Vieux-Marché, square Verdrel, and place de la Pucelle.

Visitors can also indulge in  medieval shopping  at numerous stalls, participate in various  demonstrations  (there are plenty of activities for children as well), listen to  live music , and take breaks at the taverns set up in front of the Museum of Fine Arts.
