Measles detected at the emergency room in Oslo – Greater Oslo

A patient has been diagnosed with measles at the emergency department in Oslo. – We have an overview of the patients who stayed in the same areas during the period in question. The emergency services have called everyone concerned, but not everyone has answered the phone. This is written by municipal superintendent Tanja Tomasevic. Anyone who was at the emergency room on Wednesday 18 September between 10.00 and 15.30 is asked to contact the emergency room if they have not already spoken to them, if they have not been vaccinated or know that they have been vaccinated. We are talking about 144 patients and their relatives who have stayed in the infected areas. Measles is transmitted through the air and by contact with liquid from the respiratory tract. The disease is highly contagious, but those who are vaccinated are well protected against infection.
