31 May 2023 at 12:24 Allowed to continue repairing Russian boats The employees at the Kimek shipyard in Kirkenes will keep their jobs until further notice. During a general meeting on Wednesday afternoon, it became known that the company has received signals from the government that they can continue to complete two Russian vessels that are in for repairs. Kimek subsists on Russian vessels, but is no longer allowed to work with them as a result of the sanctions that have been imposed on Russia.
