It is 70 years since the first book “Casino Royal” was published in 1953, which gives the opportunity to publish the books again. Outdated names of minorities have been removed, but several sentences have also been changed. For example, in one of the books, Bond is at a strip club in New York. It is described as follows in the original edition: “Bond could hear the audience panting and grunting like pigs at the trough”. In the new version, the sentence has been changed to “Bond could feel the electric vibe in the room”. The Bond books have also been changed in the past. Author Ian Fleming, who died in 1964, gave permission during his lifetime for several sex scenes to be toned down for American audiences.
