Marit Vea won the Left party – Greater Oslo

Marit Kristine Vea (38) won the battle for third place on the parliamentary electoral list at Oslo Venstre’s nomination meeting on Saturday afternoon. Sitting representative of the Storting and former climate and environment minister Ola Elvestuen (57) was thus wrecked. Party leader Guri Melby and parliamentary representative Grunde Kreken Almeland have been unanimously elected to the top two places. The nomination committee suggested Oslo’s environment and transport councilor Marit Vea in third place, but she was challenged by Ola Elvestuen. Vea received 81 votes at the nomination meeting, while 73 wanted Elvestuen. Venstre has three representatives from Oslo today: Melby, Elvestuen and Almeland. Almeland sits on a so-called equalization mandate, and third place is considered a battleground at next year’s general election.
