Walvik Johnsen discovered in 2021 that she had cervical cancer, and has shared openly about the disease. In “Norway behind the facade” on TV 2, she has previously told about her cell test that was misinterpreted, which meant that the cervical cancer was not discovered until it was too late. She died of the disease aged 29.
