They did it brilliantly at home against Chelsea. Casemiro sent United into the lead after just five minutes and in extra time Anthony Martial made sure it was 2-0 at the break. In the second half, there was sometimes a cannonade towards the Chelsea goal and goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford made it 4-0 with ten minutes to go. Towards the end of the match João Félix reduced, but there was never any doubt where the victory would end and United were closer 5-1 in extra time than Chelsea was another reduction. United are now third, two points behind fourth-placed Newcastle and six points behind fifth-placed Liverpool. The top four qualify for the Champions League. For the Manchester club, an FA Cup final against city rivals Manchester City also awaits in a week and a half. For Chelsea, the season has been a big failure, which stands with only 43 points in 37 games and is down to twelfth place. – There is simply no chance. It’s absolutely horrible, all the way.
