It was a man in his 20s who was stabbed at home in his own apartment in Mysen late on Monday evening. He is said to have been stabbed in the stomach region and was sent to the hospital in Kalnes. The man’s condition was then stable. The police were notified of the incident a little before 11pm on Monday evening, says Atle Vesttorp, head of operations in the East police district. The air ambulance was called to the scene, but the victim was transported to the hospital in Kalnes by ambulance, writes Smaalenenes Avis. We had them arrested and talked to a bit, and eventually it was one of them who was arrested on suspicion of the stabbing, says Vesttorp. According to the police, a man in his 20s from Ullensaker was arrested. It is not known what led to the stabbing. Attempts will be made to interrogate the arrested and the victim during the day. The knife has not been found There were probably at least five people in the apartment during the evening, the operations manager says, but the police are unsure how many were present when the stabbing took place. Some of the people who are supposed to have been in the apartment are known to the police from before. They have not yet found the weapon that was used. – The police will now primarily question the accused and the victim in the case. There will then be a crime scene investigation of the victim’s apartment where the stabbing took place, says operations manager Vesttorp.
