The police write this in a press release. The man has also been sentenced to pay NOK 600,000 in compensation to Nav. According to the verdict, the man passed on BankID code chips to other people, who used them to register stolen identities in two companies. The companies then applied for wage compensation, so that Nav was tricked into paying out money it was not supposed to. One of the masterminds was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison in 2021, for gross exploitation of the benefit scheme. The judgment has been appealed, so it is not legally binding.
