It was June last year that two men were found dead in a block of flats on Sandaker in Oslo. They were found in their respective apartments with 31 and six stab wounds, respectively. Now 54-year-old Per Fredrik Bamer has been sentenced to 21 years in prison, with a minimum term of 14 years, according to Avisa Oslo. He has previously been convicted of the double murder of an elderly couple in Sinen in 1998. The judgment from the Oslo District Court states that the risk of Bamer committing new offenses after serving his sentence is high. Therefore, a fixed-term prison sentence will not be sufficient to protect the life, health or freedom of others. He must also pay NOK 420,000 to each of the victims’ survivors. Found in separate apartments The two deceased, a man in his 60s and a man in his 70s, lived in separate apartments in the block on Sandaker. The murders took place on June 30 last year. Bamer was arrested and charged shortly after the murders. He admitted the murder of the man in his 60s, but pleaded not guilty to the murder of the man in his 70s. Bamer himself believes that he acted out of necessity. In addition to the two murders, he was also charged with another case of violence, burglary and attempted burglary. Previously convicted of double murder This is the second double murder Bamer has been convicted of. Back in 1998, an elderly couple was found in their home on Sinsen in Oslo with 66 and 25 stab wounds. At the time, Bamer acknowledged that he was at the couple’s home, but that it was a friend of his who killed them. Published 21.11.2024, at 15.00 Updated 21.11.2024, at 15.20
