2 July 2023 at 13:55 Man retrieved from the sea on Eigerøy A man has been retrieved from the sea on Eigerøy outside Egersund in Rogaland. The fire service responded to a possible drowning accident on Nordre Eigerøy, they announced on Twitter. The man has been found and is now being transported to Stavanger University Hospital by rescue helicopter. CPR is underway. Several of the next of kin have been notified. The crisis team in Egersund has also been notified, the police write on Twitter. – A drifting boat has been found, but no person has been found in or near the boat, said operations manager Victor Fenne-Jensen in the Sør-West police district to news this afternoon.
