At 10.02 the man was taken out of the air ambulance and flown to Haukeland University Hospital. The extent of the damage is unknown. A hiker alerted emergency services about a male hiker who went missing in the popular hiking area. Later, the man called the police himself and told them that he had fallen, says operations manager Frode Kolltveit in the West police district. – We got good descriptions of where he was. The air ambulance and the fire brigade’s climbing group were quickly on the scene, and he has been taken out, says Kolltveit. Doctors and police arrived at the scene of the accident at 09.15. The man probably has broken legs and is in great pain in the lower part of his body. The woman who reported the incident has been offered life crisis support. Duty commander Dan Inge Gjesdal at the 110 central calls the accident too serious. Stoltzekleiven is a popular hiking trail in Bergen, which runs from Fjellveien to the top of Sandviksfjellet. Stoltzekleieven was temporarily closed due to the rescue operation.
