On Thursday morning, the police arrested and charged a man for the murder of Jonas Aarseth Henriksen on 17 August. The police know the man from before, but he is not one of those who have previously been questioned in the murder case. For a month, the police have been hunting for answers about what led to the 30-year-old being shot dead at a cabin in the forest in Nes in Ådal. Now they believe they have good reason to suspect the man in his 20s of the murder. Convicted several times The man is in his late 20s and lives in Innlandet county, news is told. He has been convicted several times for various matters, confirms police attorney Tine Henriksen at a press conference on Thursday. The police do not rule out more arrests after a man has been arrested and charged with the murder of Jonas Aarseth Henriksen. He was also accused of threatening another police officer. The incident for which he was convicted took place on the same day that he was released from prison, where he had served time for another relationship. He appealed the case to the Court of Appeal, which denied the appeal. The man was sentenced to 24 days in prison. He has also been twice convicted of violence against a public servant in 2022 and 2023. He has also been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and breaching the Road Traffic Act in 2016, breaching the Weapons Act in 2019 and theft in 2019. The sentences come from several different district courts.
