29 December 2023 at 04:00 Man found dead in Alver A man in his 40s was found dead late on Thursday evening in an industrial hall at Eikangervåg in Alver municipality. The police were notified of the incident at 10.50pm. Emergency services responded, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after they arrived. – It was relatives who found the deceased and notified the emergency services. Relatives had traveled to the scene, since the deceased had not returned home as agreed, writes operations manager Morten Rebnord in the West police district in a press release. The police have carried out preliminary investigations at the scene. They believe the person in question was standing on a ladder to install a heat pump and fell around 5-6 meters down and hit the floor. The police have opened an investigation case and the deceased will be autopsied.
