7 January 2023 at 07:05 Man died when he was hit at Hønefoss A man in his 20s living in Romerike died when he was hit by a car at Hønefoss on Friday evening, the police say. The man’s relatives have been notified. – The man was hit by a car because he was standing outside the car and partly in the road, writes Sørøst police district on Twitter. Operations manager Tommy Eriksen in the South-East police district tells NTB that two people were hit. They were partly standing in the roadway and discussing after a traffic disagreement between them, he says. – The car that came driving saw them too late and hit them. The other person was injured and is being treated by the healthcare system, but there do not appear to be serious injuries, says Eriksen. The driver who hit the two has been charged and the driver’s license has been confiscated. Samples will be taken to reveal whether the person was under the influence, says Eriksen. The accident happened on Askveien. The road was closed for a long time, but was reopened at 04 last night, reports Ringerikes Blad. (© NTB)
