The man was buried by snow when it fell from the roof of a cabin on Spåtind by the Synnfjord in Nord-Torpa during snow shoveling, the police in Innlandet report. There were two people present when it happened. The man in his 70s was eventually dug out and attempts were made to revive him, but his life could not be saved. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Relatives and crisis teams have been notified. The police were notified of the accident by AMK just before 1pm on Thursday. Both ambulance, air ambulance, fire and police worked together at the scene after the accident. The deceased must be autopsied and the incident investigated.
