Some civilians had come across a man in his 40s who was unconscious. – They started with CPR on the spot, says operations manager Ina Kristin Selfors to news. The air ambulance arrived at the scene around an hour later and took over treatment of the man. The man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene by the doctor in the Air Ambulance. – The next of kin have been notified of the incident, and the police are opening a case, says Selfors. She also adds that the man lives in Helgeland. Selfors says that there should not have been any witnesses to the incident, and that they therefore do not know exactly what caused the death. – Those who met him had met him at the top, they had also found him on the way back down, says Selfors. Lukttinden is a mountain in Vefsn municipality in Nordland. It has a height of 1348 meters above sea level.
