14 December 2023 at 23:15 Man arrested after shooting at police station A man in his 30s has been arrested after shooting at Åsane police station in Bergen last week. – The man was arrested in Eidsvåg this afternoon. It was a planned operation and the arrest took place without drama. The man has been charged with serious threats with a firearm against the police and is currently in police custody, says operations manager Ingrid Teigland Tepstad in a press release. She further says that the arrest will be followed up with a search and questioning. – The aim of the investigation is now to establish whether or not the man had anything to do with the shooting. The arrest is the result of the last few days of investigation. It is too early to say anything about a possible motive, she says. The man who has been arrested is a Norwegian man in his 30s. He is known to the police from before and has a previous criminal conviction. No decision has been taken as to whether he will be requested to be remanded in custody.
