Royal Caribbean’s “Icon of the Seas”, which is, among other things, sponsored by soccer star Lionel Messi, is 365 meters long, has 20 decks and can carry a maximum of 7,600 passengers, as well as a crew of 2,350. The ship runs on natural gas, and environmentalists have warned that it will leak harmful methane into the air.
