14 August 2024 at 14:10 Lowest power price in Norway ever Last week, parts of Norway experienced the lowest hourly power price ever. This is what Norway’s Water and Energy Directorate (NVE) wrote in an update on its website. In areas NO1 and NO2, which cover south-west and south-east Norway, there was an hourly price of minus 71 øre/kWh between 1pm and 2pm on Sundays. The reason for the low prices is, among other things, high wind power production for the time of year in the Nordics and a lot of solar power production in Europe.
