He stops after 124 international matches. The Bayern Munich goalkeeper himself reveals this in an Instagram video. Neuer writes “thank you, Germany!” and adds that he has loved wearing the national team kit. In recent days, there has been speculation about whether Neuer should give up playing national team football. The German news agency DPA claimed on Tuesday that he was going to continue. Neuer became world champion with Germany in 2014, four years after taking World Cup bronze. He also has gold from the U21 EC in 2009.
