“Matches like this have happened to us in the regular phase, where we created many opportunities but couldn’t convert. This happens. As long as we keep producing goal-scoring chances, we will have the opportunity to win matches, which is what we need,” stated the Antioqueño.
Regarding his expectations for the upcoming match, González asserted, “I can’t go into the next match worried that it will be the same. We wanted to win, certainly; we wanted to convert the chances we had, of course, but that’s what happened. We have to turn the page and be convinced, I have all the confidence that our forwards will convert whatever opportunities they get, and we will win.”

Millonarios seeks a victory to get back on track for the final, having come off two consecutive draws without scoring. One of these was at home against Atlético Nacional, who, despite being undefeated and holding the “invisible point,” only a win will suffice to regain the top spot in Group B and move closer to qualification.
