19 March 2023 at 19:33 Lillestrøm to cup semi-final after own goal Lillestrøm ended up falling behind twice, but turned the game around and beat Tromsø 3-2 after extra time in the NM quarter-finals on Sunday. Bodø/Glimt await in the semi-finals. The decision was decided ten minutes before the end of the second extra period. Espen Garnås got his head on the cross from Gjermund Åsen, and right in front of the goal August Jenssen was unlucky when he put the ball into his own goal. It was a deserved victory for Lillestrøm, who had much of the game away from home on Sunday. Sakarias Opsahl sent Tromsø into the lead with his goal after half an hour of play. The free kick from both an angle and long range went through the entire LSK box and found the far corner. Early in the second half, former Tromsø player Thomas Lehne Olsen equalized from the penalty spot. After an hour Hilmir Mikaelsson sent the home team into the lead again, but Åsen equalized 20 minutes before the end. Lillestrøm have won the NM six times, most recently in 2017 when they beat Sarpsborg 3-2. Last year’s losing finalist Glimt awaits in the semi-finals. Lillestrøm has the advantage of home ground in the match.
