Liberal parties break with KrF and Frp in Oslo

Venstre breaks the polls with the bourgeois parties in Oslo. The party believes the distances are too great. – The soundings have not made us confident that the distance would be any less in negotiations and then there is no basis from our side to continue to the negotiation stage with KrF and Frp, says Venstre’s Hallstein Bjercke. In drug policy, the Liberals disagree with KrF. The conflict is over whether the use and possession of small amounts of drugs should be decriminalised. It was Avisa Oslo that reported on the case first. The party has informed the other bourgeois parties that they are breaking up. Will negotiate separately The plan was for the Conservative Party, the Liberal Party, the Progressive Party and the KrF to continue where they left off before the weekend on Monday morning. Instead, the Conservative Party has taken the initiative to meet the bourgeois parties separately. There is thus a standstill in joint negotiations between the parties. – Just today, I think it would be wise to have talks with each individual party, says Conservative candidate for city council Eirik Lae Solberg. Wants a place in the city council Bjercke told news on Monday that it was unlikely for the party to enter the city council with the FRP. FRP’s chief negotiator Magnus Birkelund tells news on Monday that their goal is a place in the city council. – We want the greatest possible political influence and therefore also want to sit on the city council, says Birkelund. Disagreement about the MDG A flirtation between the Liberal Party and the MDG has made the negotiations more confusing. They are now open to creating a minority city council with the Conservative Party. – Then such a city council can form a majority to its right, i.e. against KrF and Frp, or towards the center and against the MDG, says Bjercke. The Liberal Party spoke warmly throughout the election campaign about a blue-green city council in which MDG is invited. MGD itself opened up to having talks with the Conservative Party and the Liberal Party after the election defeat. – The Conservative Party knows that our door is open to possibly forming a majority city council with MDG, says Bjercke. Eirik Lae Solberg will neither have the MDGs in the city council nor as a cooperation party in the city council.
