A spokesperson for New Line Cinema tells the AP news agency and the New York Times that the sequel film will not premiere on August 16 anyway because they want the public to have a greater opportunity to discover the first part of “Horizon” in the coming week. The first part of the film premiered at the end of June and only landed in third place on the cinema list in the US after its opening. It qualified for the designation flop. The film series has had a price tag of a staggering one billion kroner. Over 400 million of these have been paid out of pocket by director and lead actor in the film, Kevin Costner. Costner himself has not commented on the postponement of the sequel.
