Large slush avalanche near Bodø – news Nordland

There has been a large mudslide at Bodø. National highway 80 at Kleivberget in Valnesfjord is closed. The police advise against all traffic along landslide-prone road sections from Helgeland up to Bodø. Just after 08:00, the Swedish Road Traffic Center reports that there has been a slush avalanche on national highway 73 at Kåtbukta on Krutfjellet. They have now lifted roadblocks, and have people out in the area. – We have had people in the queue who have driven past the slide in the past, but that is no longer possible. The last thing we need now is a rescue operation, says Boe Nilsson. The police apologize for the inconvenience this causes for people. The barricades have been set up at Nordvika and west of Sagelva, the police say. – As the situation appears to us right now, all traffic is advised against landslide-prone road sections in Helgeland and in Sør-Salten up to Bodø, Nordland police district writes on Twitter. An orange danger warning has been issued for the risk of landslides, mudslides and flash floods for parts of Nordland. The police write that the following sections are closed: Fylkesvei 17 Nordland is closed at Breivika in Rødøy and at Glombergan in Meløy due to ice drifts.
