Large search operation for boat fire in the Oslo Fjord – news Oslo and Viken – Local news, TV and radio

The police were notified of the burning boat at 3 o’clock on Thursday night. Then it was in the water near Storesand in Råde. The boat has probably drifted from the south. Just before midnight, it passed Engelsviken in Fredrikstad. Now it is stranded by the beach. The emergency services have not observed any people near the boat, but have searched with lifeboats and helicopters for people in the water last night. Fishing boats in the area have also participated in the search. – The search is to see if there are personnel who may have been involved, possibly ended up in the sea, says rescue leader Andreas Ingsøy at the Main Rescue Center. – It is a big search with lots of resources. On Thursday morning, the police started a beach search in the area around Krokstadfjorden. Personnel from voluntary rescue organizations assist. The police and the Main Rescue Center want tips on who owns the boat. The boat is made of wood and is between 30 and 40 feet. The boat has probably been motorized on the way to Råde.
