5 October 2022 at 12:45 Danger warning for parts of Western Norway: Landslides and floods can have major consequences, according to NVE NVE has issued a danger warning at orange level for landslides and floods for parts of Western Norway. It is the second highest hazard rating. The reason is that a lot of rain and locally heavy showers are expected until Friday evening. Inner areas of Western Norway will receive the largest quantities. – Due to persistent heavy rainfall, the area is assessed at an orange danger level from Thursday, says the warning from NVE. There will be local differences in how much precipitation comes. The area has high water saturation after rainfall ahead, and NVE considers it too likely that both landslides and floods could occur. Steep slopes, as well as streams and rivers with a large flow of water are particularly vulnerable. (NTB)
