31 January 2024 at 07:48 BT: Kurt Nilsen and Jan Fredrik Karlsen are breaking up – We’ve had 21 years on the road with some really great experiences. And a strong friendship at the bottom. But this autumn we came to a point where we had to stake out the course further, Karlsen further tells the newspaper Bergens Tidende. The two met at an Idol audition in 2002 – Nilsen as a participant and Karlsen as a judge. When Nilsen won Idol in May 2003, half a year later, they had already decided to work together. For over 20 years, they have probably been the country’s most high-profile artist and manager constellation, with, among other things, the only ever “World Idol” victory on their CV, writes BT.
