8 April 2023 at 10:04 Kristin Harila starts the record attempt again Kristin Harila from Vestre Jakobselv has now received all the permits to climb in China. This allows her to climb the two mountains she was unable to climb last year. Now she is starting the expedition all over again. The goal is still to beat the world record for climbing the world’s 14 highest mountains in less than six months. In addition, she will try to do it without supplemental oxygen. Last year she climbed 12 of the world’s 14 highest mountains, but she was not allowed to climb the last two mountains in China. But now, with the permits in order, she will climb Cho Oyu and Shishapangma twice. She will then tackle the remaining 12 mountains that she has previously climbed.
