He was acquitted of possession of narcotic tablets, but sentenced to 120 days’ probation for illegal possession of weapons. – The court has essentially based its judgment on Kristian Valen’s explanation, says lawyer Bernt Heiberg of Elden Advokatfirma in a press release. The prosecutor asked for one year of unconditional imprisonment for Valen. Kristian Valen was charged with gross violation of the Weapons Act, illegal possession of a weapon and drug offence. He pleaded not guilty. In 2020, the police found five firearms and six weapon parts at Valen’s address that had not been properly deactivated according to the regulations. Valen claimed that he collected the guns as a hobby, and used them as film props through his company.
