Even Ingvild Kjerkol has said that she wants to continue in the Storting. But soon after she was rejected by several large municipal parties. And when the nomination committee submitted a draft list of nominations, Kjerkol was left out of the majority. The municipal party was then to come up with its input for the list proposal. Then it became clear that Namsos, Verdal and other municipal parties are also abandoning Kjerkol in favor of renewal in the party. While the Labor Party in Steinkjer turned around and now wants Kjerkol into the Storting anyway. And now the nomination committee has sent out its final proposal for the Storting list: The majority will vacate Kjerkol once again. – A difficult job In first place on the final list proposal for the nomination committee is Bente Estil from Lierne. Then follows Vebjørn Gorseth from Steinkjer, Stian Sagvold from Verdal and Ann-Inger Leirtrø from Stjørdal. The list has been adopted by the majority in the nomination committee with three dissenters: Three members of the committee want Ingvild Kjerkol in first place, two members want Amund Hellesø in second place and three members want Bente Estil in fourth place. – It is obvious that it has been a difficult job when the recordings from the team speak as much as they do. This is what the head of the nomination committee, Arnhild Holstad, says to news. A divided county party over Kjerkol In March she was unanimously re-elected as leader of Trøndelag Ap, in April she resigned as Minister of Health and now her seat in the Storting is at stake. Despite the fact that several large municipal parties want to oust Kjerkol in favor of renewal in the party, others believe that she has the necessary competence and thus must get a place in the Storting. – We need the expertise and experience that Ingvild has built up over many years, and I am very happy that the members’ meeting agreed to that proposal. That’s what May Britt Lagesen in Steinkjer Ap said after Steinkjer Ap reversed Kjerkol’s position. The Labor Party in Trøndelag is in the process of finding out who will represent the party from Trøndelag after next year’s parliamentary election. The party will come up with a list of candidates for Nord-Trøndelag and a list for Sør-Trøndelag. Because even though Trøndelag became a single county in 2018, Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag still each have their own electoral district. Ingvild Kjerkol announced that she is standing for re-election to the Storting. At the end of August, it became clear that Ingvild Kjerkol was completely omitted from the nomination list for both Verdal, Steinkjer, Namsos and Levanger Labor Party. In total, four municipal parties had Kjerkol as their top candidate: Stjørdal, Flatanger, Meråker and Frosta. The majority in the nomination committee in Trøndelag Ap, electoral district Nord-Trøndelag, left Ingvild Kjerkol on the list for the Storting election 2025. A majority consisting of four people had the following proposals: 1. Bente Estil (Lierne) 2. Vebjørn Gorseth (Steinkjer) 3. Stian Sagvold (Verdal) 4. Ann Inger Leirtrø (Stjørdal) The minority of three people had Ingvild Kjerkol (Stjørdal) on top and Amund Hellesø (Nærøysund) in second place. Furthermore, Vebjørn Gorseth from Steinkjer followed, and mentioned Bentil Estil. When the municipal party was to give input to the nomination committee’s draft list for the Storting, it became clear that Steinkjer Ap would turn around and put Kjerkol at the top of the list. The same evening it became clear that Verdal Ap still does not have Kjerkol on its list. Tonight, the nomination committee in Ap Nord-Trøndelag has a meeting where they will agree on their final proposal for the Storting list. Who ends up at the top of the Storting list for the Labor Party in Sør-Trøndelag election will be finally decided on 30 November. Then a final list from both the Labor Party in North and South Trøndelag must be chosen. Show more But it will not be until November 30 that we get an answer as to who will end up at the top of the Storting list from Trøndelag Ap. Then the entire county party meets to debate and vote on a list for valkrin’s Nord-Trøndelag and a list for valkrin’s Sør-Trøndelag. Giske kicked out of the nomination committee, again Last week it became clear that the majority in the nomination committee for the Labor Party in Sør-Trøndelag is kicking out Trond Giske once again. Only one member of the committee wants Giske to get a seat in the Storting after the election next year. But Giske did not let himself be stressed by that reason. Giske points out that the municipal party that wants him at the top counts the most delegates at the nomination meeting when the whole thing has to be decided. – I still think it is funny that the majority in the nomination committee decided to stick to their proposal after they did not receive support from the majority of the members, says Giske.
