6 December 2022 at 02:34 Kirstie Alley is dead The American actress Kirstie Alley has died at the age of 71 after a brief cancer illness, reports the celebrity magazine TMZ. She was surrounded by her immediate family, it is stated in an announcement from her children on Alley’s official Twitter account on the night of Tuesday Norwegian time. Alley got her big break in the long-running comedy series “Cheers”, which ran from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. She was awarded both Golden Globe and Emmy awards for her role as Rebecca Howe in the series. She later starred in “Veronica’s Closet” for which she received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. She also starred in the TV comedy “Kirstie”, which premiered at the end of 2013. The series only had one season.
