Kirsti Leirtrø announces on Thursday that she will withdraw from the nomination process before the next general election. That’s what Adresseavisen writes. The nomination committee presents its list for Sør Trøndelag on Friday morning. Leitrø has had a seat in the Storting for the Labor Party since 2017. Now it’s time to withdraw from the nomination process and ask the party to gather. – We must focus on the residents and what they care about. It is the policy that is important, not the politicians. I will therefore withdraw from the nomination and let younger people in, says Leirtrø to Adresseavisa. She says to the newspaper that she notified the nomination committee’s leader at 18 Thursday evening. – I have recommended to the committee to work until they get a unanimous list where we let younger people in the top two, and where Nidaro’s preferred candidate is also included, she says. Nidaro’s social democratic forum is the local team Trond Giske has built up. Published 12.09.2024, at 18.15 Updated 12.09.2024, at 18.28
