The purpose of the trip is to discuss the possibility of supplying Russia with more weapons for the war in Ukraine, as well as other military cooperation, unnamed sources told the newspaper on Monday. The sources are described as officials from the United States and allied countries. Kim will then make a rare journey from Pyongyang, North Korea’s capital, probably by armored train, to Vladivostok, on the Pacific coast of Russia, where he will meet Putin, the officials said. Kim may also travel to Moscow, although that is not certain.
