27 August 2024 at 18:48 Kennedy will work for Trump Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently withdrew as an independent presidential candidate in the United States, says he will be given a role in Donald Trump’s so-called transition team. This is a group that will help Trump appoint cabinet members if he wins this autumn’s presidential election. In an interview on the messaging service X, Kennedy says he has been asked to join the team, according to The New York Times. Tulsi Gabbard, who was Kennedy’s vice-presidential candidate, has received the same request. One of Trump’s advisors, Brian Hughes, confirms the information. Both Kennedy and Gabbard have previously belonged to the left wing of the Democratic Party. As recently as four months ago, Trump claimed that Kennedy was a “radical left-wing lunatic.” Last week, however, Kennedy announced that he was suspending his campaign and would instead endorse Trump.
