By then the band had achieved legendary status with their oil barrels, pump organ and Jærske dialect. And now the gas masks and the black suits must be brought out again. They have been planning their comeback for three years. A lot of time has been spent brainstorming, meeting and practicing. For the past year, the band has practiced together one week every month. Now Kaizers Orchestra are finally ready to show themselves to the fans again. – What is completely magical is that I don’t have to do so much, I just have to show up again. But because we’re showing up again, we’ve put in the harness and made sure it’s going to be great, says the vocalist. Brand for life by Kaizers Because there is nothing accidental when they now enter the scene again. We meet him and the rest of the band in a pop-up shop in Stavanger. It is a shop that will only sell Kaizers effects on the days the band plays concerts in the city. – Should there be a trip to the beach, says Ottesen to band colleague Geir Zahl, while he lifts up a bath towel with the band logo on it. They will open a similar store at the other concert venues as well. And it is in such a place that the keen fan appears. Kaizer’s Orchestra is at its own pop-up shop in Stavanger. It is the title of the song they released in June and the name of the Norwegian tour they are now going on. But Kaizers fan Odd Lundga has not just one, but two Kaizers tattoos on his body. – From day one I have been a fan. I like the music. I’m from northern Norway and I love that it’s raw, beautiful and a lot of sound, says Lundga. Shall take control on the continent – There is enormous trust and enormous love in so many telling that they have been waiting, says Ottesen. It is in secret areas in Stavanger that they are now starting their comeback. Three miles from Bryne, where Janove Ottesen and Geir Zahl grew up. But like Erling Braut Haaland, they also want to go to Europe. In total, there are 14 concerts planned between February and April next year. The dates for the concerts outside have been announced, but not the cities or countries. And first there are 56 concerts here at home.
