Dramatic scenes unfolded during the recording of a music video in Nashville in the USA on Tuesday. A woman had climbed over the fence of a bridge, and was holding on to the fence. On a surveillance video that is supposed to show the incident, two people can be seen calmly walking up to the woman – among others the artist Jon Bon Jovi, writes AP. The characters are standing and talking to the woman standing on the edge. After a while she turns towards them, and gets help to get back over the fence. Shortly afterwards, she gets a good hug from the artist, before they walk off the bridge together. It was the police who released the surveillance video which is supposed to show the incident. In a short statement they sent out together with the video, it says that they would like to give a “shout out” to Bon Jovi and his people, writes the BBC. – Bon Jovi helped to persuade the woman to come down from the bridge landing and to safety. The bridge was named after a similar incident. According to the local newspaper The Tennessean, Bon Jovi was in the process of recording a music video for the song “The People’s House”. The bridge was still open to the public while the recording was taking place. The police say the dramatic incident happened on Tuesday at the Seigenthaler footbridge in Nashville, the capital of the state of Tennessee. Long career The artist has not wanted to comment on the incident, out of consideration for the woman he helped. He is best known as the vocalist in the rock group Bon Jovi, which was formed in 1983. Among their best-known songs are Livin’ on a prayer (1987) and You give love a bad name (1986). Jon Bon Jovi has also had a long solo career as an artist, and has also played in several films.
