The World’s Best News is an information campaign that conveys progress and positive news about global development. The aim of the campaign is to promote constructive journalism and inform Norway’s population with positive news from around the world, which would otherwise not make the headlines. Would you like to help design our campaign? Learn about communicating constructive journalism? Or help to get even more people involved in the campaign? Then you must join one of our three working groups! The three working groups: The news group: Responsible for the production of news items for the campaign and content for the website verdensbestenyheter.no and social media throughout the year. We are looking for you who like to write, translate news articles and have experience with or want to learn more about news dissemination and publishing online. Journalism students are encouraged to apply. The campaign day group: Works, together with the coordinator, to ensure that the campaign day is as good as possible. That includes engaging the volunteers, and coming up with cool plans for the campaign day for the central and local links. The group also works with material and merch. The events group: Works to spread knowledge and information about the campaign through the planning and implementation of professional events, creative stunts and inspiring presentations. As a volunteer in Verdens Beste Nyheter, you will gain useful experience in project work and many opportunities for competence development. You will also become part of a pleasant and social environment with many other committed volunteers. Size of the position The start is in October and the position lasts until the middle of 2024. It is expected that you can attend group meetings 1-2 times a month and follow up on your responsibilities in the meantime.
