In July, Andersen was sentenced to two years in prison for the murder of 10-year-old Lena Sløgedal Paulsen in Baneheia in 2000. He appealed the sentence shortly afterwards. Andersen has previously served 19 years in prison for the assault and murder of Stine Sofie Sørstrønen (8). – It was not particularly unexpected. It is rare that a murder case does not make it through to appeals, says the parents’ assistance lawyer Audun Beckstrøm to news. Beckstrøm says there will be an additional burden on the parents with another round in court. Andersen’s defender Svein Holden says it is expected that the Court of Appeal will hear the appeal, but will not comment on the decision. VG mentioned the case first.
