3 February 2024 at 11:43 Relieved Riiber best again: – Absolutely inside with demanding conditions Jarl Magnus Riiber won Friday’s opening race in the Seefeld triple. The top 15 from Friday’s race took bonus points to Saturday’s show jumping race, where Riiber had an extra 6.2 points compared to the competitors who were not in the top 15 on Friday. In Saturday’s jumping race, Riiber was again the best in a race where the wind conditions varied greatly. With a jump of 109 metres, he secured a half-minute lead over arch-rival Johannes Lamparter before the cross-country race, which starts at 2.20 p.m. Jørgen Graabak is the second best of the Norwegian athletes in tenth place, one minute and two seconds behind Riiber. – He always delivers. He impresses. It’s not like he gets out his best jumps in races either, he’s just a step above the rest of us on the ground. And so far so good at skiing too. I’m very impressed and have to try to see more of him, because he ravages the day, says teammate Jens Lurås Oftebro about Riiber. – It’s a good jump. I think yesterday’s jump was a notch better, but certainly within demanding conditions, says Riiber himself. – You are relieved to get over the green line today. I was a little more stressed at the top today than yesterday, so it’s good to have a lead, he says.
