August is in luck ? And the autumn weather is just around the corner. This weekend is probably the last where we can enjoy temperatures well above 20 degrees. In several places in Southern and Eastern Norway, there are still summer days this weekend. In Lier, Tønsberg and Evenstad it was 25 degrees today, and Oslo it was 24. In Pasvik in Finnmark it has been well over 20 degrees, but that was probably the last day. – It is time to bathe now. Hurry out, says state meteorologist Terje Alsvik Walløe. Cooler for the week In northern Norway, summer is over for the week. It gets really cold there and the temperatures have difficulty getting above ten degrees in Tromsø and Finnmark. – It will be a cool end to August, says Walløe. In the rest of the country, temperatures will also go down on the temperature scale, and fewer people will experience temperatures above 20 degrees. But there is a lot of sun in store, which warms up to 20 degrees in the middle of the day on a few days next week. It has been quite chilly in central Norway lately. – They get the same air that Northern Norway feels. The temperatures will not particularly rise above 15 degrees in the coming days, says Walløe. – It will feel really autumnal in some places next week, says the state meteorologist. But they will decrease in the coming days due to northerly winds at the start of next week. The wind direction has a lot to say about the water temperature. – When the wind comes from the north, the warm water on the surface is blown out to sea. The temperature at night and in the morning has become lower, so many may have already found their autumn jacket. – The air is sharper and will feel more autumnal next week, says Walløe.
